Krakatoa is a unique coffeehouse and restaurant created in a beautiful repurposed Craftsman house in Golden Hill. We have delicious sandwiches, bagels, smoothies, salads and are well-known for our famous potato salad. At Krakatoa, we bake all our own colossal homestyle pastries including muffins, brownies, cookies and cakes. I love the atmosphere, the patio built under that huge shade tree is perfect for an iced mocha and a book. the employees have always been warm and sweet to me. a wonderful neighborhood spot.

I'm late getting on the Krakatoa train, just "discovered" it by accident about a month ago. I love the setting, the atmosphere, the baristas, the neighborhood.... This is my #1 go-to now.
Best açaí bowl I have ever had in my life! While visiting San Diego for 2 weeks, I had the açaí bowl 3 times! Highly recommend!
