Motel 6 rooms at 5-star prices. The pool IS great, though. Parking arrangements are very frustrating. Suspiciously, this review isn't posting.
James Madison High School Class of 82 Reunion at Kona Kai in August!
We were at the resort for a food tasting for my daughters wedding . Amazing !! The chef was so creative and captured her vision for food presentation and taste . Can't wait for the actual wedding .
Our server Aly definitely put the "happy" in our happy hour there. 5 stars! Ask for her! The $4 Reuben slider was a delicious surprise, which is good. The under-promoted 2-6PM happy Hour, not so good! Really should be promoted better. There's no signage or fanfare on site to even draw in native boaters! The bar is very pretty at night, too. My husband and I arrived at the hotel at about 3:30 noticing the property was under major construction, which was not mentioned anywhere when I had booked the hotel just a couple weeks prior. There was only one person in line in front of us when we arrived at the front desk, but it was almost 30 minutes before I was able to check in. It seemed that there were technical issues. We took a quick trip from Phoenix to San Diego and stayed at Kona Kai... we had an excellent time. The kids love it. The room was great and the view was Amazing!!!
Place is pretty lit. Hella Pokemon and pokestops. But you do have to pay $18 a day for parking and It's $12 for 2 pieces of toast.
I believe that was the most affordable wonderful Resort I have ever stay ... The service was 5* Clean Room....The view was amazing...I will Highly Recommend..But on reservation I will recommend To go with 3party Apps ...not directly they're little expensive if you reserve directly.
