Great mountain and way less crowded than Heavenly. Would highly recommend hitting this mountain. One thing to keep in mind is it has a lot of advance terrain. So it could be tough for beginners.

Kirkwood is the best mountain in California with the best snow - don't waste your time anywhere else
I returned to Kirkwood after 10 yrs. Ii got car sick coming up the winding road, but that's because I was on a ski bus & I woke up at 3 AM. As an ordinary skier, I did all the green runs. The only lift chair at Timber Creek that serves the green trails is crowded as the ski school is right next to it. The green trails on this side is short. We have to hop on a shuttle to head over to the Mountain Village area where the other green trail chair lift is at. The green runs over there is a bit longer.
