Yesterday. Hands down BEST skiing conditions of my LIFE. Snowed in. Highway closed. Maybe 200 people skiing all day. Zero lift lines. 19 runs. 25,407 vertical feet. 4 hours straight. EVERY run thigh/waist deep powder or deeper. MANY many untracked runs / turns. AND the drive home was only 5 hours once the Carson Pass opened…Huge kudos to #Kirkwood #Vail #kirkwoodskipatrol #kirkwoodmountainops!
Don't won't to say anything too good, because it will only attract a larger crowd. All the locals know how good the mountain is. Everyone else stay away.
Kirkwood and Coop are always keeping it real and providing regular updates to keep you informed. Love the mountain...even when it can't open because of all the snow they receive!
