The staff is very proactive, the food is great, and its overall a really nice place to eat.
I've eaten here a couple of times and liked it, but today we arrived at 2:15 and were completely ignored for several minutes and then they refused to serve us, saying they were about to close. This was after they seated us. Made it very awkward. I'm not anxious to go back.
Terrible phone etiquette and terrible manners.
I have been going to Kimonos for a couples years now because it is the closest hibachi place. I went there for my birthday and the food was great like always. Once we ate, the waitress had the nerve to stand in front of my group of 7 people and tell us to give her a tip. She made up a story that she has to pay the cook $15 each time he cook so if we tipped her $15, she wouldn't have to pay him. We were all very disappointed with the experience and I will never go there again.
