Specialties Full Service Restaurant History Established in 2015. Kenton's is an American whiskey bar and restaurant with a menu of the smoked, grilled, and charred flavors that have an affinity for bourbon. The restaurant's namesake is Simon Kenton, a founder of the town of Maysville, the Kentucky port town from which whiskey was first shipped out of state on flatboats. The primary downriver destination was New Orleans where the whiskey gained popularity and perhaps even acquired its name from Bourbon Street.

Not sure what a " pleasing" bartender is ( previous review).... Dan the Man is shucking great oysters from La. ( not L.A.) and Chef John prepared one of the top 5 vegetarian dishes I've ever had--- Vegetarian lasagna. Not the usual replace the meat with tired , over -cooked , watery zucchini. This was creative, flavorful , mustard greens , etc. gotta try. Location is spot on and interior is beautiful
