Specialties Full Service Restaurant History Established in 2015. Kenton's is an American whiskey bar and restaurant with a menu of the smoked, grilled, and charred flavors that have an affinity for bourbon. The restaurant's namesake is Simon Kenton, a founder of the town of Maysville, the Kentucky port town from which whiskey was first shipped out of state on flatboats. The primary downriver destination was New Orleans where the whiskey gained popularity and perhaps even acquired its name from Bourbon Street.

Dinner at the bar was amazing. Loved the interaction with Beth at the bar. The food was incredible. Loved the raw oysters, cold corn soup and the fresh spaghetti... Delicious. The old fashions were perfect.

I bet Simon Kenton was good on his word, esp. when dealing with farmers. Just another "farm to fable" here.
