I have been a Kaiser patient most of my life and the last few years have been outrageous in trying to reach out to my doctors. I am extremely unhappy with the service or LACK of service I am receiving lately.
Appointments are quick and easy
I went in late Friday night with acute stomach pains. The ER team saw me immediately and ordered blood tests and an ultrasound to diagnose acute cholecystitis or blocked gallbladder duct. I was scheduled for surgery to remove my gallbladder within a few hours. The nurse team on the 5th floor took excellent care of me, especially Nurse Marilu who knew I was in a lot of pain. Fast efficient and pleasant
Pharmacy services suck. It takes them a very long time to process one item prescriptions.
I have never had an issue with Kaiser until recently. Their appointment wait times have been ridiculous the last few months. I have waited over an hour after my scheduled appt time to be seen by my dr. Today my OB appt was at 9:45 and it’s now 11 am and I’m still waiting. Not only that but when I finally do see my dr I’m told they have to rush, or can’t do an ultrasound because hey are pressed for time. I had open heart surgery, they replaced a valve in my heart leading to the lungs. That was 3 years ago and I'm still here. I am nearly 83 years.
