I was left alone in the covid-19 triage tent without any regular updates and sporadic contact. I left. It was a terrible experience.
Calif. authorized vaccines to 65 and older on Jan 25. As of today, Kaiser is not providing shots for 65 & older. Their covid "hotline" hasn't been updated since Feb. 12th. What crappy service. Sadly, I'll have to wait a year to find a new HMO
Carlos Mendez, who claims to be an ENT there has admitted he will let certain patients die based on his personal beliefs. If I can attach the screenshots, I will.
Their COVID policies make the place nearly inaccessible to anyone who isn’t 100% fully mobile. No one I’ve spoken to knows what’s going on for check in policies or pediatric surgery policies. They seem to think it’s ok for pediatric patients to be alone to recover from surgery and got very rude when I challenged it. Would never come back, COVID or not.
THE WORST EXPERIENCE with Tracey McNamara and Goly (couldn’t get her last name). Two of the most insensitive, awkward and offensive hospital employees. I could not and do not feel safe as a Black women and Kaiser patient seeking unbiased care from an organization that employees people with blatant racist opinions.
As long as Tamara Bawek works for this place. No Black person is safe! When you hold strong implicit biases, its difficult to view much less treat other cultures as equal or fair and respectfully. People ought to understand that they are public figures working for public institutions. Tamara who is a Medicare Manager at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego tried to paint BLM protestors as arsonists and a terrorist group that just wants to ransack businesses. Kaiser needs to be informed that their Manager is promoting hate speech.
