Just bought a car an hour ago and am already regretting the decision. The ploy to not talk about pricing or negotiate a sale until “the finance guy” is ready was a bait and switch. We asked the salesman multiple times to talk about cost and were held off with “he’s almost ready” and “just a few more minutes “ for about 2 hours. We have taken our two Toyota’s in a few times for service and we have been very impressed with the service department. Fast forward, I have been pondering a new Toyota for a year. I decided to stop in last Wednesday evening and was very lucky to have sales consultant , Steve Ryherd approach me. He took his time and was very professional. Set up an appointment to test drive a 2016 Mustang, we arrived at the dealership early so we could make sure the car was still there and do an exterior inspection of the vehicle. One of the salesman came and we told him we had an appt for a test drive in the Mustang. So he took us into the office so he could get the keys, I show him a valid driver license and sign a paper stating I was legal to drive and have insurance. We've bought a lot of new and used cars over the years, but this time may have been our best experience ever. Steve was very upfront with us, there were no games of 'well, my manager won't let me' or 'we simply have no room to move on this price'. No going back and forth from a hidden office etc. We got a very fair trade in, a decent discount on the sticker price, and a pretty quick zero pressure meeting with the finance guy (sorry I forget your name!). So my guy Carl Allen is a great person and is willing to try his best. But I think it's disrespectful for other salesman to sit around and talk trash about someone taking their sale. Last I check it's our choice. The old head sitting at the door is an ass. Some of the guys in the used car really need to have a customer services skills. �
