Dr Lopez and his team is absolutely wonderful. Dr Lopez takes them time to truly listen to you and then explains in detail what is going on. I felt heard for the first time in a very long time. It was nerve racking traveling the distance to Tampa but well worth it. The team at Tampa General is amazing. The day of surgery, everyone made the day go as calming and smooth as possible. The extra steps and care I received made me feel calmer. I highly recommend Dr Lopez and his team at Tampa General. (Parathyroidectomy surgery)

The personal care and attention. Above and beyond doesn’t even come close to fully describing how great this team is! I can’t say enough about this amazing surgeon. I flew to Tampa for a very successful parathyroidectomy by Dr. Lopez, after two failed surgeries in Utah. After my second failed surgery, I had several encouraging phone visits with Dr. Lopez, when he practiced with the Norman Parathyroid group. I was abruptly assigned to a different surgeon and later told I was being dismissed as a patient, as my calcium level was no longer testing over 10.0 and my rogue parathyroid couldn’t be located by numerous scans. Dr Lopez is AMAZING! My special needs son had ongoing parathyroid issues for the past few years and Dr Lopez patiently, clearly and thoroughly explained why this happens and the best way to handle it with surgery. My son required a parathyroidectomy and Dr Lopez recently performed the surgery at TGH Brandon Outpatient Center. Dr. Lopez performed parathyroid surgery on me and I was extremely happy and impressed with the whole experience. From the person I made the appointment with all the way through the surgery, I have no complaints.
