I have been misdiagnosed for years as a tumor continued to grow. My calcium was high & the PCP I had said she did not know why. I did not accept that & began my own research. He helped correct many mistakes of previous endocrinologist. I would recommend him because he proved his credibility of being an outstanding endocrinologist!
Dr Lopez explained everything involved in a tumor removal by a televisit the again during my surgery pre-op. After surgery he explained what he had done and answered my post op questions. He called me by telephone the evening after my surgery to check on me. Very professional and highly recommended.
Before my parathyroid surgery, Dr. Lopez explained everything to me in a way I could understand. Afterwards, he personally called my friend when the surgery was completed and assured her that all was well. He was right there when I woke up in the recovery room and checked on me periodically while I was there. He even called me that night after I was released to check on me. He is not only an outstanding surgeon, he is an outstanding, very caring person. He is truly awesome!
I recently was told I needed to have parathyroid surgery. The parathyroid clinic at Tampa General Hospital is exceptional. Dr. Lopez has done innumerable parathyroid surgeries. Dr. Lopez and his staff were excellent regarding my care from the beginning. My first encounter with Dr. Lopez was a Telehealth phone call. He was so knowledgeable, and it he made me at ease immediately. He explained what he would be doing, and why. He agreed to speak with my son, who is also a physician, in another state. They spoke, and my son was confident I would be well taken care of by Dr. Lopez. I cannot say enough about how impressed I was with Dr. Lopez. I knew I would be in perfect hands. I agreed to schedule my appointment to have him operate on my parathyroid.
