Excellent care received at Van Aken I have only experienced excellent care at Van Aken from the staff and especially Dr. Johnsen. I feel quite qualified in making this statement as I have had close to 100 animals cared for by the staff and have NEVER experienced any issues. Van Aken Pet Hospital is overwhelming I wrote a review eariler,and now wish to take it back! Nothing bad has happen to our animals that I'm aware of atleast. WHAT A CROC! Shame on You! I had a puppy with a hurt leg and was referred to this place because it was less expensive and at this point I would try anything to get my dog taken care of. Van Aken Pet Hospital is awful Of course the staff of the hospital will write good reveiws. They need the job. But ripping people off and being dishonest will only bite you back. This hospital is inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. After doing some investigation on the Vet Suzanne. I only have to take a look at the way she lives. very pleased I chose this hospital because I was fixing five dogs for a neighbor who could not afford to fix them himself. I read the other reviews and was expecting it to be dirty because of the one review. I found it to be very respectable. The people were very friendly. I was able to get the dogs taken care of in one day. The price was very low, which is GREAT for spay and neuter. I would recommend them for anyone who needed to get a dog or cat altered. I have worked for 11+ years in the field with many vets and many hospitals. I have not always taken my pets to the hospitals I used to work for due to a lack of trust. the only vet that cares about your pets health not your wallet! I love dr. johnsen! Ive been going to Van Aken for over 8 years, she has helped us threw my boxers cancer, put our brittnay to sleep comfortably, taken care of countless cats that she helps us save. She cured my dogs parvo for a low price, and helps me find animals homes so we dont have to take them to the shelter! she stands behind her work, and she makes sure all our pets are cared for. Horror stories complaints have been filed against her dr. johnsen is a MONSTER!!!!! She is insane. The type of insanity that needs to be treated with a psychiatrist. She is rude, unfriendly, and many animals have DIED under her care. She LOVES CUTTING ANIMALS OPEN. I believe that's also part of her insanity and crazyness. Info from the inside If you want the nitty-gritty, here it is. I worked at this clinic for a long time. I got to know the staff, the clients, and the way of the work. With the exception of one, the technicians are payed $8 an hour, they're hired without work experience because this hospital's ways just cannot be compared to anothers, and the office manager (Tony) knows very well that an educated technician would NOT put up with Doctor J, much less the working conditions.
