"FRIENDLY" is not in the title... Went to this clinic as a returning customer. I left my money in my vehicle. I asked a lady at the front desk if I had time to run out to get my money (and run I did). She was fine with that. ( Payment needed to be made before services were preformed.) Some other woman with a piss poor attitude made a nasty remark due to my poor preparation in not having payment ready and loosing my place in line...which I NEVER made a fuss about. Good Business This was where we brought our dog when he was having medical problems after Alpine tried to take advantage of us. Vanaken was great. They did the job properly, got my dog better and didnt charge too much. The staff is very caring, and you can tell they love animals
A Hospital Where Pets are Left Alone to Die! I will never take another pet to this hospital. My dog was very sick and we decided to do what we could to save her. At first, I thought they wanted what was best for her, but it soon became clear that no one there had my dog's best interest at heart at all. Instead she went under numerous needless surgeries and suffered endlessly. Van Aken Pet Hospital is the only place to go if you love your pet Dr. Johnsen, and her staff are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been around. No other doctor can come any where close to her knowledge skill or caring! She is the old kind of doctor that works way too hard for way too many hours because she truly loves her patients. Compassion for animals and their people's wallets I've used Vanaken for my own pets, for strays, and for feral cats who have needed help. Dr. Johnson is a wonderful and loving vet. The animal hospital is in a low rent part of town, and the waiting room furniture is old... probably second hand. But I'm glad to forego the trappings of more expensive vets in order to make medical help more affordable for families who would otherwise forego giving medical attention to their pets.
Van Aken Pet Hospital I have taken my pets to the Van Aken Pet Hospital for almost 10 years and I believe Dr. Susanne Johnson is a top notch Vet. She has cared for my dogs and has helped me add years onto my aged dog. The distance was so far from my home and when I retired I no longer drove past the hospital. I decided to change Vet Clinics at that time, but came back to Van Aken. The other clinic was good, but not as good as Van Aken.
GOOD EXPERIENCE My fur son Junior is 12 years old and has been in general good health. Our vet of many years retired and I had a need, a very good friend recommended Dr. Johnson at Van Aken and the rest is history, we were treated well and Junior was treated as a family member not just a pet. A very positive experience for us and I would not hesitate to visit Van Aken and Dr. Johnson again. I have and will continue to recommend them. Van Aken Pet Hospital is AWESOME! VAN AKEN IS AWESOME!I would like to give my personal accounts of my multiple experiences with Van Aken. I find the front office cozy and they have coffee, soda machines, and TVs with the Dog Whisperer(I love him)! The girls at the front are sooo busy, but they always make time(with a smile) to take care of my needs. The parking in front is limited; however, they have plenty of space in the back (no problems).
