My girlfriend has been going to the guidance center for some time now. I think they just made matters worse. She always came home after appointment feeling like they just didn't care. This place may be a nice fit for some but I hope she can't find help elsewhere.
I cannot begin to say enough about these people. I was going to another regular Dr before coming here. All they wanted to do was push pills down me!! Xanax 4 times a day! But here at this clinic she found the right combination of milder meds and I'm feeling so much better. I thank God for this place. The counselors are great but I love my contact leader...Allison is the greatest. If you think you need help, please do your self a favor and make an appointment here!
A group of some of the worst therapists along with a revolving door of psychiatrists. I've been yelled at for not being a christian, laughed at and then directed to do weird "assignments" by a very paranoid therapist. The last psychiatrist there left me waiting two hours and looked like a mess, started doing Obama impersonations, telling me about his days when he was a stand up comedian and then said he'd rather lay down in the floor and sleep then talk to me. Unimaginably terrible.
I have been having problems most all of my life well actually since I was 6yrs old. Of course in those days you didn't go to doc you got a whopping. But I have looked for someone to really care about my mental illness since my early 20's now that I am 45 I finally found a place that cares about me and my illness everyone is super there my Dr. Is Dr. Shandy she's the best doc I have ever seen in my life she really listens and always understanding as well as nurse Lynn and several others I thank them for saving me.
Every time we go, we have to wait over an hour to be seen. Even though the appointment was at 9:30..we won't be seen till 10:30 or later. Half of the nurses and doctors are rude. They don't care about your mental health. They just want you in and out.
JMH made me uncomfortable. Half of what I shared was took out of context into a negative rephrasel and written down. Staff seemed very insincere and jaded. Beware.
I have been a patient a CMMHC for 10 years. They have a great deal of programs available, and they are one of the few agencies that accepts TennCare. The case managers are very helpful, do home visits, and will do all that they can to help you understand what services are available that can help you stay safe in your home. The Counselors are hard working, caring professional people, who are there to help you with the problems that you are going through. This center, designed to treat those who seek out help for mental health issues, fails at its very mission. The requirements for the TN state management and his staff are as follows: Apathy, neglect, lazy, disrespect, sluggish, soul-sucking, can't be bothered, won't be bothered, don't care attitude, must remind each patient at every opportunity that one is superior to them in every way and that they are just a poor, insignificant, odd specimen of vermin who has dared to walk through their door to seek help. I have two people I c with these people Pam and robin.I'm giving this place a bad review because they keep over and under charging us then I find out I could have had a seizure worse then normal because Pamela west does not know that lamtical and that certain mediation don't mix it could have cost me my life. And I do not like the fact she talks to you from home for all you know she could b in china or africa.
