RecommendedThey are a great hospital and have a good urgent care along with the clinics. They are mostly doing phone appt due to covid. The staff is friendly and very helpful. It’s a clean, professional, and great hospital for Veterans. We’re glad to have this Poplar Bluff location for my husband. He feels at home there and he trusts the medical staff. They have been good to him for several years now.

i have never had a negative experience. Have felt comfortable every time.
Veteran Service Officers I see people complain about this VSO or that VSO. VSOs have a valuable and highly stressful job. Some are volunteers, some get paid a relatively low salary and some make big bucks. They do not work for the VA. VSOs not only help with VA disability claims but handle calls at all hours, do frequent advocacy seminars and outreach, help homeless Veterans, comfort emotional survivors, deal with complaints about anything to do with Veterans from anyone and much, much more. Ensure their listening to their patients. Ensure the individuals put in place to listen to patients, is actually available to speak to and returns phone calls & in a timely manner. Ensure timely follow-up re: phone calls from nursing staff, Patient Advocate.

I’m a FNP at the Poplar Bluff VA Medical Center and have been there since 2008.
