Dr John Irving just completed my 4th surgery. (Two hips and two knees) I am thankful that I have been lucky enough to find a brilliant and kind-hearted surgeon whom I trust beyond measure!
Dr Irving was THE Best from beginning to completion of my full left hip procedure, the hospital staff at St Vincents did everything possible to make my short stay as comfortable as possible, both Dr Irving and the pt staff at Ct. orthopedic worked with me to attain a quick recovery so much so I will be having my right hip done this November only four months from my left full hip Thank you Dr. Irving
Both my knees feel great. By the time I got my second knee done, I could barely walk on it. I am still in recovery but I can exercise, do house work and get in and out of the pool.
Great doctor, this was my second experience with him, after he replaced my hip 6 years ago. Both experiences were perfect with procedures, communication and recovery. Thank you Dr Irving.
Dr. Irving replaced both my knees. My left knee is wonderful. I wish I had done it sooner. My right knee is still too new to say, but the surgery went well. I am recovering nicely and doing the work.
I had a laminectomy at another hospital. My pre op instructions were be here at 8 and my discharge instructions were to walk. I wanted more when it turned out I needed two new hips. An extensive search led me to Dr John Irving. I had the first hip done early December and the second will be done tomorrow. Dr. Irving spends all the time you need in order to feel comfortable in having your questions answered. And he explains things in terms you can understand.
Dr Irving did a total hip replacement in early Nov and I was impressed how good I felt by Thanksgiving. Stayed with his exercise program from Force and the PT at Gaylord in North Haven. My hat's off to him. I need the other hip done and he is the one doing it. Just a little note he also did both of my wife's knees and she also had a great experience with Dr Irving.
.Dr. Irving is a caring Dr, who listens. Very important that he keeps in touch post surgery.
