Dr Lapkass made me feel very comfortable & confident with my total knee replacement surgery and what to expect afterwards. Bedside manners were great as well.
I feel very fortunate to have chosen Dr Lapkass as my orthopedic surgeon. I was playing rec league ice hockey 3 months after he performed a total hip replacement (anterior method) for me. Dr. Lapkass is the best of the best. He did a total replacement on my very active husbands complicated (bone damage from previous accident) knee. After careful rehab he was biking AND skiing that year. Recently I ruptured my hamstring and Dr. Lapkass reattached it. I'm 3 months out and after an abundance of caution and excellent coordination between Dr. Lapkass and my PT, seem like I am well ahead of schedule on rehab goals. Return visit for knee pain. Dr. Lapkass had previously reconstructed my daughters knee and performed a total knee replacement on a friend. Highly recommended. He was thorough and caring. He explained all my options and called me with my MRI results the next day.
I found Dr. Lapkass at Anchorage Fracture & Orthopedic Clinic in 2016 when life was a bit unbearable with shoulder pain that affected most parts of my life. Dr. Lapkass replaced both my knee and my hip on my right leg over the last two years. Before both operations I had many questions about timing and outcomes. He did not shy away from any questions and in my estimation answered them fully. He is very detail oriented from pro-op to following healing for up to a year post-op. I am very satisfied with his care and now call him a freind. I would highly recommend Dr. Lapkass to anyone.
I first met Dr Lapkass in 2015 when he operated on my left knee. I've had a total knee replacement done by him last year on my right knee. Dr Lapkass is not only an excellent orthopedic surgeon, but he is caring and compassionate as well. I highly recommend him.
The staff is all welcoming and professional, and Dr. Lapkass is the best kind of doctor for me.
