I used safelite to upgrade the rear window on my truck from a solid glass to a rear window with a sliding center window. The person that came out for the install did fine but not long after I discovered my truck had a pond under the rear seat. It was found that the window was leaking rain water into my truck due to it being defective per safelite. So we opted to switch it back to the original solid style glass and the difference of the cost would be reimbursed, so I was taking a financial hit due to their defective product. ... read more
I had scheduled an appointment days in advance with Safelite Auto Glass to have my wifes windshield replaced. We were given a date with an arrival time of between 8am to 5pm. My wife had taken a sick day from work. She travels so was not possible for repair to be done at her work. We waited 8 HOURS AND 45 MINUTES and at 4:45 pm , 15 minutes before the 5pm deadline we got a call from a Safelite employee telling us they would not be coming. Do NOT RECOMMEND ********
The customer service number associated with ********************** is an absolute joke at best. There is no possible way to speak to a human being nor is their a way to process a warranty claim. When you tell the automated voice that you want to file a warranty claim, the voice responds that she doesn't have the capabilities to do so and then you are disconnected. I reached out to safelite for a left door window repair. I was told they could repair my 2007 Saab once the car was brought to the establishment I was told a 2009 part was ordered by mistake. Next appointment was Mobile and I was told they dont make the car anymore and it was hard to find a part. Well, they suck! I set an appt online, got a confirmation email. Took the day off to be available between12-5. Waited all day till 4 when I felt nervous about how late it was. Got online texted a chat service for assistance, they couldnt find me in the system! I call directly, Im told they see my appointment in the system and verify my car. Had an appointment for windshield replacement 8:00- 12:00 pm never showed up, never called! I called them around 12:30 after half hour waiting on hold they said glass didnt come in. This is my work vehicle. Now I have to take a second day off. But guarantee it wont be for Safelite!Wish I could leave less than 1 star
LIARS!!!! I TOOK MY CAR IN AND GOT A NEW WINDSHIELD BECAUSE OF A SEMI PUT A ROCK THROUGH IT. THEN I KEPT HAVING THIS CHEMICAL LOOKING STUFF ON MY WINDSHIELD, NO MATTER HOW CLEAN I GOT THE WINDOW IT IS STILL THERE. I TOLD THEM I WANTED IT REPLACED BECAUSE IT SEEMED TO BE IN BETWEEN THE GLASS.
