The food and service were both excellent! The restaurant is moderately sized and has an Oyster Bar. The cuisine is mostly seafood and is labeled as a Cajun restaurant. Even with the parking lot full, there was still room for more people inside. I ate the Fried shrimp. They were large and professionally butterflied. I tolerate tartar sauce on a few things, but I really liked Jimmy G's variety. The cocktail sauce was so good that we brought some of it home in the little plastic take home cups! Jimmy G's Cajun Seafood and Oyster Bar is an excellent lunch spot for business just off Beltway 8 and the Hardy Toll Rd. It is a very casual atmosphere with friendly service. The Oyster Bar has a great selection of Oysters....you must try the grilled oysters! My main dish was Mahi Mahi which was broiled and seasoned very nicely. The presentation was simple with mashed potatoes and green beans.

This is a must try place if you are in Houston and love Cajun food. We were three colleagues trying out different restaurants during our stay in Houston and must say this is a no-brainer. One of the specialty appetizer to try is the "Grilled Oyster", which was just awesome. Half shelled oysters grilled and flavored with Cajun spices. Understand where you are going and you will be much happier!! This is a good quality seafood restaurant with no frills. The oysters are good...........peel-n-eat shrimp, big bowls of seafood soups, etc.!! The service is great for this kind of restaurant and so are the prices.
