Went to this place a good twenty times, had a good time and kinda liked it. But it only takes 1 bad time to ruin it. I always wear boots, their a nice dress style brown suede, last night the bouncer proceeds to inform me and my buddy who wore boots also every time, that boots are not aloud. I asked when that started, he says it's always been like that. I don't drive 1.5 hours to be subject to bouncer discretion, will never go there or recommend it ever again.
Fun bar, but management tho is absolutely TERRIBLE. Y'all should maybe right an entire list of shit you can't wear on the outside of this club. My friends and I enjoyed taking our asses to the Flats (there not assholes). Thanks!
A special shout out to Jimmy D's security for letting all of my group (of 6) in except for one on account of his skinny jeans sagging (how does that work?), being disrespectful as we went to leave by making snide comments, all while wearing baggy sagging jeans. I still don't know why my friend who was wearing a long sleeved dress shirt couldn't get in, while the rest of us were okay, but we spent our money elsewhere.
This place is garbage. The bouncer at the front of the door is so ugly and thinks he's better than everyone else and throws people out for no reason and is abusive to women there. The owner sucks and doesn't reply to emails or messages. They need to shut this place down as all it gets now is 1 stars if there were 0 stars then that's what it would get. I tell everyone that mentions south side to stay out of here.
Ok. Technically, this last Friday, I only made it to the line, as it is Halloween season I didn't think I'd have any issues going out in full make and outfit (sugar skull skeleton face) for a drink. Me my wife and the homie go to the line a this cocky black dudebouncer yip yappin with some cops is like "you can't get in with no mask on" with this attitude...like He wanted a response, we just turned around and preceded to leave. You would think you are waiting in line for a upscale celebrity filled nightclub in LA or NYC by the way the security acts. They will honestly deny people for wearing boots or too long of a shirt, as if combat boots are not todays style. Jimmy D's, you bar is not all that so why don't you calm down, make some money, and let some people have fun:
Straight up got denied entrance because I was wearing boots if you ask me that is racist as shit, i am sorry if I work a actual job and wear boots all the time fuck this place I will tell anyone and everyone of my experience here and hope this piece of shit place goes out of business one day
10 year customer never had any problems some girl mistake me for someone else told to leave. Bouncers are trying to hit on girls rather then do their jobs! Even talking to owner told to leave! Never be back!
Tonight my boyfriend went to the bar to get a drink, all of a sudden security is screaming in his face. He tried to stop to talk to me and security just kept screaming. When asked why he was kicked out, the security said he had too much to drink. Meanwhile he was texting me, able to speak clearly, etc. he told the security he would pass any test he wanted, he said if he continued to talk he would have my boyfriend arrested.
