History Established in 1987. The history of Wichita would not be complete without two names, Walter L. Anderson & A. J. "Jimmie" King. Anderson started our nations first hamburger stand "White Castle" in a rented, remodeled street car in Wichita, KS. King purchased the Wichita brand of White Castle in 1938 and changed the name to Kings-X. I take my family there regularly. My son has been a fan of the spaghetti and meat sauce since he's been old enough to eat real food. And my favorite is the BLT and the chicken noodle soup. Service has always been excellent and the price is right too!
