Final outcome is a functioning ankle without the pain. He is a perfectionist. He is in high demand but once accepted as patient he and his staff were there to answer multiple questions from me and my wife and instruct us on the process. My ankle was immobile, fused due to infection from previous surgery by another surgeon. After infection was cleared, with much assistance from Dr. Steck and staff, he replaced the ankle and reestablished tendons.

This doctor cares about MONEY, not caring for patients. Although I learned that a referral notice was sent THREE TIMES to his office, the staff said they didn't receive it and therefore Dr. Steck would not see me. (That's because the greedy doctor was afraid he wouldn't get paid although I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance and made the first copayment immediately!) They wouldn't help me; then was told Dr. Steck wouldn't see me as a patient as he didn't like my attitude (like he is G0D!)

I see why Dr. Steck doesn't show his face. He should be ashamed of himself. Has no regard for patients. Simply the worst doctor I've encountered in my 80+ years! Drove on aching ankles to see him; waited 2 hours, because primary care referral hadn't come. Paid co-pay (demanded up front) yet still refused to see me because no referral came. Not my fault! When I objected after long wait was told by staff he decided never ever to treat me. An arrogant, heartless, non-caring doctor. Shame on him!!

He exudes confidence and a calm demeanor. When speaking with him I felt that he was able to explain throughly and succinctly what my options were. I left with full confidence that he could successfully preform the surgical procedure as well as see me through the recuperation period as discussed. He was very good at instilling trust. .
