Dr Shapiro is very knowledgeable. He listens to you and explains things throughly.
Doctor listened to me and my descriptions of where I felt pain from my knee to wherever. I was also concerned about my knee giving away as I walk. Doctor addressed my concerns. The initial approach is to take a 5 day trial of an anti -inflammatory steroid. I will respond.
Nightmare of an experience. Waited hours for initial appt and had to call off work. Surgery was worse. Scheduling will call and tell you to come 2 hours before surgery. Then you get there, they put you in a room with the door open and it’s where all the medical staff gather to wait for the OR. left alone with zero communication about what was going on. I came in for a painful shoulder. Dr. Shapiro listened to me, explained my condition, and offered options for me. He has a great bedside manner!
I met with Dr. Shapiro for the first time yesterday for 10 minutes, and he hasn’t yet treated me. My surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday. That said, he was very personable and left me with the impression that I am in good hands!
Dr Shapiro did my total left knee and I am now having issues with the right knee. At my a latest visit Dr Shapiro gave me the practical advice I need to make a decision on whether and when to move forward on my right knee replacement and have me advice on how to minimize the pain while I make that decision. Very accommodating and practical advice.
I had a problem with my surgical knee and couldn't stop worrying about what was wrong. I finally got to see Dr. Shapiro. Xray came out fine. He checked me out, told me to stop my exercises and enjoy my summer! What a relief! Thank you everyone in Southfield for being so nice!
