Doc Shapiro is the best knee guy around. My only regret is that I didn’t start with him years ago - I’m certain I’d have avoided a lot of pain and discomfort and physical limitations. After a Mega Oats procedure I’m training for a marathon - something I never imagined I’d be able to do. Doc is truly excited about the work he does and has a great bedside manner. Very long wait time.
The appointments drag on for hours waiting for the doctor. It seemed like a zoo in there, very chaotic and fast-paced. The surgical experience was more worrisome. The surgical staff had miscommunications with scheduling, but acted as if that were normal and said it happens all the time. I ended up waiting the whole day for surgery, rather than 2 hours as scheduling said I would. Afterwards, there was a single follow up, 2 weeks out so I cut my own sutures out.
