My experience w/Dr Gitelman was the worst Ive encountered. He entered the room without introducing himself and didn't acknowledge my presence. He was extremely impatient, grumpy and showed little concern for my well-being. The injections were the most painful I've ever experienced and I could feel everything he was doing. As a new patient, I was left waiting for 30 minutes after completing the medical history and insurance forms. When I inquired as to when I might be seen, I was told that I would need to pre-pay $75 for an x-ray. This was surprising to me since I had not yet seen the dentist - how did they know what x-ray I might need? and, since this practice was a preferred provider, why were they asking me to prepay when my coverage includes these type of x-rays. I was going to have my wisdom teeth out with Dr. Gitelman, but he and his staff were so rude to me that I cancelled my appointment. I would never recommend this office for any procedure. Please find another oral surgeon.
Although Dr. Gitelman handled my oral surgery well (local anesthetic), my overall experience at his office was awful. I was overcharged by several 100, was asked to pay even though my insurance covered the whole procedure. His staff has no manners, the worst are the people at the front desk, who are blatantly rude. It is a mystery why they are still employed.
