Terrible treatment. Dr. Gitelman himself is a nice person, but his office staff is terrible. They are poorly trained and incapable of correctly treating patients. Stress, anxiety, and pain like never before. Didn't sleep for a week after my operation because of the pain (and their refusal to prescribe proper pain medication). Had to go see another dentist to correct their mistakes and finally heal and recover.
He pulled out two wisdom teeth in about 90 seconds with minimal pain and discomfort.
I thought he was very professional, calming, and efficient. Did a great job on extracting 3 wisdom teeth with local anesthesia. Thanks, Dr. Gitelman! The front desk staff was good too, making sure that I knew about my insurance coverage and working with my needs.
Office stuff is very rude and unprofessional. They force you to pay for xrays even if you bring one from your general dentist. They make you pay before you go in the back so if they are unable to do the work for any reason they still have the money. The Dr and his staff are rude, pushy. They act like they are doing you a favor by just being there.
I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed over two months ago and am still experiencing pain. About five weeks ago I realized that the sharp thing that I had mistaken as part of the stitches was in fact a piece of tooth that had not been completely removed. The bedside manner was terrible, the doctors neglected to tell me how I should deal with after procedure care and instead handed me a sheet buried somewhere within all of the other pieces of paper. Although the office is very good at scheduling appointments quickly, it is... read more
Dr. Gitelman is an excellent oral surgeon. He removed three wisdom teeth twenty five years ago and recently extracted a side molar. In both cases his procedures were painless. His staff kept me well informed about post operative procedures. They were very nice when I called later with additional questions. My experience with Dr. Gitelman and his staff relieved my anxiety.
I've had 2 implants done by Dr. Gitelman. One was very tricky--he and my dentist weren't sure it could be done--but he did it. I've had them for a couple of years now and they are fine. If getting an implant can be a good experience, this was it.
I got my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Gitelman. He was kind and professional, not to mention the procedure was completely painless.
This has been the worst experience that I have ever had. I had to have a tooth extracted using general anesthesia, and the dentist's protocol left a lot to be desired. I would never recommend this dentist. He is insenstive and his staff is by far the worst that I have ever encountered.
