DETAILED REVIEW: Terrible customer service and an unprofessional stylist. I filled out a survey expressing my dissatisfaction—not only about the unexpected $10 upcharge for my blow dry, but also about how unwelcoming and unprofessional the stylist was. $100 not including tip for a very minimal trim on medium length hair is a scam. There’s honestly no reconciling for that.

Natasha is an amazing colorist and stylist. But the actual salon can use a refresh. This place hasn’t been updated in over 20 years. The chairs are uncomfortable and falling apart. The hair washing stations break your neck and back. Its just not a pleasant salon to be at for long hours while doing a hair treatment.

PSA warning: Anyone of black/African American ethnicity should avoid this salon. The stylist at the Dadeland Mall JC Penny are blatantly racist. One stylist in particular - Alina- refused to take me as a client and quite rudely told me that she doesn’t deal with my hair texture. The manager offered a verbal apology but I doubt this is the first time or last time such a situation will happen.

Unfortunately I stood at the front desk to schedule a hair appointment for 5-10mins. As soon as I walked in, there were 3 workers present helping other guests. No problem. However, no salon worker said “we’ll be with you in a moment” or something - very strange. I walked out.
