I am new to the Lakeland area and went for a refraction with an optometrist. He told me he could not refract because of cataracts in each eye. He recommended Dr. Mulaney. I am in a Medicare Advantage HMO, went to my primary care provider for a referral, and she also recommended .Dr. Mulaney. I was very pleasantly surprised by his office staff, their smiling attitudes and professionalism. Please disregard my first review of Dr. Mulaney. There was a misunderstanding and miscommunication regarding laser procedure I had. After my follow up visit with him the matter was completely cleared up. He went out of his way to satisfy me as a patient and since then I’ve had two other procedures that have turned out wonderfully. I highly recommend Dr. Mulaney for all of your eyecare needs
Please disregard my review from a year ago with Dr. Mulaney. After my follow up visit we cleared up any miscommunication and he was extremely attentive and wanted to satisfy me as a patient. I have had two other procedures since the laser surgery and each one has been completely successful. He is extremely knowledgeable and proficient as a physician. I would highly recommend him

I always beleive Dr.Mulaney is a 10 star Dr .and eye surgeon He is the best eye dr. I have ever seen without a doubt . This position obviously has a lot of expertise and knowledge. However my experiences with him shared that he has no bedside manner and seems irritated when you ask questions. He did not explain the procedure he was doing on me on two different occasions and seem to be in a hurry to get out of the room. After my follow up with him I will not be going back for those reasons and those reasons alone no matter how good he is
Dr. Mulaney has performed successful cataract surgery on both my wife and myself. In addition, my mother had a complex combination of cataracts and glaucoma. Dr. Mulaney did a super job on restoring her eyesight. This enabled her to stop her glaucoma medication which was causing many side effects
