was very pleased for a time but then the urinary mesh that was inserted stopped working and now i have very bad incontinence; much worse than before the procedure. have to get up many times during the night. difficutly sleeping. using pads again.
Dr. Engel spent over 90 minutes with my wife and I explaining my condition.
Dr. Engel, did not or would not answer any of our questions. When we asked him a question, he would ask my husband and I the same question. If we knew the answers to our questions we would not have made an appointment with him. Also, he was an hour late.
Refused to answer questions, walked out of the room while my husband was still asking, and tried to humiliate both of us by giving us "jobs". We are senior citizens and deserve more respect and common civility than that of which he is capable. I have worked with many surgeons before and have never met one who thought he knew it all but always did the disclaimer as he walked out the door.
Dr. Engel was a terrible listener and extremely egotistical. He may be the self-proclaimed expert in a certain procedure, but I was completely put off by him. He was late for both appointments; 45 minutes late for the second appointment, and no apology!
Dr. Engel is very knowledgeable and competent. His self-confidence and excellent ability to explain medical issues bring comfort to me when facing stressful moment of making difficult decisions.
Dr. Engel is great! He spends plenty of time listening to what I have to say whether it is medical related or not.
