Best cut I've had in NYC! – After receiving a offer of a complimentary cut through my job, I decided to try it out. Didn't expect much, after all it was complimentary. I was very happy with my former hair stylist, but this topped everything. Everybody was very friendly, and Mary gave me a fabulous haircut. She was extremely professional and gave me a lot of good tips. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
GREAT COLOR! – I ad the best experience at the Janet Rufen Spa. Sandra give the most beautiful color highlights in NYC..She just looks at you and knows what color you should have..The spa is very peaceful and the stylists are all very good..I highly reccommend it!! Andrea Warshaw
well worth it! – I went to Parlor for the first time on the day before leaving town for a family wedding. I was sick with a cold, but in desperate need of a cut and highlights, so I went ahead with my appointment with Mary. She was amazing -- so nice and accommodating of my cold (she even brought me tea). And my hair looked beautiful. The color was just what I wanted and the cut rocked. Such a relief for a first time visit! I'll definitely be back.

sandra rocks – i had never colored my hair, and used the same person for years for haircuts, untill i found Sandra. she listend and put me at ease imediately. the highlights that i was given were so natural that i was amazed. she gets them so close i couln't belive it. i was treated with so much respect, the staff is super friendly. the atmosphere is chilled, with no pressure. i am totally hooooked now. Simply the BEST! – I thought I'd lost her. Janet is the only person who EVER understood my head--at least the outside of it. Anthony, her old boss at Prieto, took her off cutting to concentrate on coloring which broke my manly heart. Earlier this year, walking across 19th St., I glanced in at the old Prieto salon to see her there, and HER name on the window. She's just as good (or better) than I remembered and that initial cut got me an UNPRECEDENTED three weeks of compliments (This is no lie!) The woman is magic.
get your hair done – I had an excellent hair-experience as Janet Rufins Parlor. The atmosphere is upbeat, energetic, and also relaxed. Janet is fun and easy to talk to. We discussed my hair color and cut for twenty minutes before she got started. I had an all over hair color, whats called a single process, with a starburst of highlights.
