From bleached to natural blonde – Janet has the patience of a Saint and the skill of an angel. She is very intuitive and can see past all the fake color. I had been coloring my hair for years with box products, trying to cover the grey. I was not even sure what color my hair was anymore. Janet brought me back down to a natural blonde. I am getting married in July and want to look young and refreashed and not orange and old. Thanks Janet!

A real makeover – I've just had the best hair experience ever! I went to my appointment at JR's Parlor on a friend's recommendation without any real expectation except a decent cut and color. John is amazing! – I had never been loyal to a hairdresser before. That's probably why my curly thick hair never really worked for me. I'd put it up and pray for no rain. I'm very lucky that I discovered John, because ever since I let him cut my hair I love it. It is always manageable and kinda fabulous...even in the worst humidity. Mary is amazing – I have never found hairstylist loyalty until now!! After having three friends emerge with amazing haircuts from her, I finally called myself to make an appointment. I had put a lot of thought into what I needed and wanted, and I really felt that Mary listened and then ran with it! Loren & John, I would follow them anywhere! – Loren & John have been coloring & cutting my hair for over five years. They just moved to janet Rufin's parlor, a charming and inviting boutique salon located in the heart of Chelsea. Between Loren's fabulous sun kissed highlights & John's modern & sexy cuts I'd follow them anywhere. Oh, by the way, I've never cheated on them once in over five years! They're the best.
THE BEST -- NO KIDDING! – I am a bestselling author (who has also written US, British Vogue, Town & Country) and the one thing that I don't skimp on is my hair.
