Jen Rocks my Socks!!! – I got the best highlights and haircut form Jen!!! My highlights are natural, beautiful, perfect, blonde but not to blonde!!! I'd say i'm just as blonde as I wanted to be!!! Go see her!!! She is the best!!! Also, the entire staff was fun and friendly, not your normal salon people!!! Everyone was so cool to be around, I felt like I went over to a friends house for coffee and highlights!!! This is the place to go, and Jen is the girl to see!!!
User review by karinadir – Go to Eddie for Matrix straightening, it's better than the Japanese method and he really knows what he's doing. My hair was great afterwards and the whole process it relatively painless.
The only high end salon in NYC without attitude! – I have been to some of the most famous salons in NYC, every one had a stylist/colorists who did exactly what THEY wanted to do to my hair. Not so at Janet Rufin's Parlor!! I visted Janet's for the first time with my hair color in complete disarray (compliments of one of the "famous" NYC salons!). No more bad hair days – First time experience was great. Janet the Sr. Operator went over all the details about what needed to be done to correct a badly done job on my hair. I needed to be saved in a hurry. I had a double process and it looks healthy and contains the highlights contain the depth that I was looking for.
Janet is amazing – I had my hair highlighted by Janet and she did an incredible job. I get compliments all the time and I couldn't be happier with it. The entire staff is extremely friendly and Janet is top-notch. She is down-to-earth and a great stylist. She picked the perfect color to compliment my hair and skin tone. Can't wait to go back – I walked into the Palor just to check out their hard to find line of hair care products Davines, and ended up getting a haircut and deep conditioning. I am so happy I decided to stay! The staff was genuinely warm and welcoming and my stylist Eddie was amazing. He really listened to what i wanted, and I got a perfect cut and style for my type of hair. What a great place - and free bagels too!! – This is a great salon with a wonderfully friendly atmosphere where the staff seem to genuinely care about their customers (also evidenced by the free coffee, bagels and muffins on offer!) Have recently started going here regularly for my weekly blowdry and can highly recommend Eddie who's a genius that can turn my frizzy, uncontrollable mop into sleek, shiny waves! I always leave the salon looking and feeling wonderful!
Janet is excellent for natural blonde color! – I went to Janet Rufin's Parlor for the first time and my hair was a total mess - multiple shades of blonde, dark roots and dark underneath.
