Dr. Uyeki listens, confers with other specialists and advises. He treats me as an individual who happens to have cancer. The entire team is thoughtful, caring and responsive. I trust that he always has me, my health and my best interests in mind.
Dr. Uyeki is always caring and efficient with my husband and me. For about ten years he has brought us through treatment with excellent results.
Dr. Uyeki is very compassionate and cares about his patients. He was referred to me from MD Anderson by Dr. Fayad. I'm very blessed and lucky to have him as my local Hematologist/Oncologist. He spends the necessary time with you and answers all your questions. It takes a very special person to be a cancer doctor. I have over 10 years experience dealing with various Doctors, consider yourself lucky if he is your Doctor.
Dr. Uyeki listened to my concerns, complaints, and past medical history. He seemed truly interested and confident in finding the right treatment for me. He did not rush me through my visits. He called me at home to give me information on results of various tests and scans.
Dr. Uyeki is very personable and relaxed while still remaining succinct and focused. He made me feel comfortable discussing my prognosis while covering all potential scenarios. I find this combination of personality traits and professional thoroughness makes Dr. Uyeki a doctor I can trust regarding my health and the decisions I must make. He takes the time but doesn't waste the time. A really good doctor. His staff is very courteous, thorough, friendly and efficient as well.

I was diagnosed with rectal cancer and have been in Dr Uyeki's care for about 2 months. I just underwent my 4th chemo treatment and have 8 more to go followed by chemo+radiation and then surgery. Each time I have seen the doctor I have never felt rushed. He's always willing to answer any questions my wife and I have had directly, with easy to understand responses. I feel like I am in great hands with the doctor and his staff, along with all the nurses in the chemo room.
