This surgeon makes it a point to insult women. A friend of mine recently went for a visit and he told her she was fat and should lose weight. She was suffering from knee pain. Upon hearing this I remarked that some time ago I went to see him for a torn meniscus and he said the exact thing to me and so did his associate PA chow. I find him very condescending and dismissive. Yes He is kind and patient and explains everything very clearly for surgery and post op care.
He explained everything in understandable detail. He is exceptionally gentle and his hands were warm. When I left his office I felt I had spent the time well and he was very clear about what I should do for my knee before my next appointment.
Dr Worthington has been wonderful with my son. My son is multiply handicapped. the Dr took a great deal of time examining him and explaining things to him. Excellent bedside manner too.
3 family members have seen Dr. W. He has done surgery on 2. Cannot think of a better orthopedic doctor. Spotted reading medical journals on treadmill. Seems brilliant but very sensitive, down-to-earth manner. Knew a foreign student who'd received bad care elsewhere locally. Was going to quit her degree program to go abroad for help. I got immediate appt. for her. Nurse & doc let me come too. He calmed her fears. Aware of cultural differences. Gave her choices in her care. Healed & graduated!
Dr. Worthington's bedside manner is absolutely horrible. He does not listen and is very condescending. His video displays a caring doctor but that is not what I experienced. His staff had a better bedside manner. If there was anything less than 1 star I would have chosen that. I will not be going back. There are plenty of other doctors in his field.
He is the BEST. Would not see anyone else.
Very unhappy. I have knee problems. Somehow there was a miscommunication that I have problems with both knees. X-ray called the office before I went in, office was unwilling to add the second knee. While I was in the office Dr was to busy to look at other knee. Now an MRI is scheduled for one knee .
