Dr. Elsey is AMAZING! He is the kindest, sweet, competent, compassionate, non-ego driven surgeon. I had an emergency appendectomy the day after Thanksgiving 2017. I went to the ER at 5am with stomach pain, Dr. Elsey had me in surgery by 10am and I was released and back home nursing my newborn son by 2pm. He did a great job laprascopically- I have very small incisions that are healing perfectly and has been so nice and compassionate during my follow up care. I highly recommend him to anyone!

I had to have emergency surgery for a blood clot in my arm and he did a wonderful job of removing the clot and had a great bedside manner.

Dr. Elsey performed a carotid endarterectomy for me in June of this year. I couldn't ask for a better experience with the way the surgery went. The entire experience at Gwinnett Medical Center was excellent. I was extremely fortunate that the blockage in the artery was detected before having a stroke. I owe a debt of gratitude to Dr Elsey and the medical staff at Gwinnett Surgical Associates.
I was under the care of dr Elsey while escaping from Hurricane Irma in florida. I ended up in the emergency room and feel so fortunate to have Dr Elsey as the on call surgeon. Often times doctors need to tell you that they are doctors to impress you. Jim Elsey is a gentlemen and a person that I would hold in high regard even if I did not know that he is a top rate surgeon. The attention that he paid to my wife to make sure that she felt safe and confident in the procedure that he was going to perform on me was priceless. The entire experience with Dr. Elsey may have been one of the best I have ever had with the medical profession.
