Surgery done very poorly! Placement of joint so bad I have bad groin pain, leg pain, and back pain that I did not have prior to the surgery. Poor doctor for athletes.
Dr. Ballard did not review my hip MRI’s or X-rays within the last year before surgery. An hour before my surgery at the hospital he comes in to mark my leg and asks me “is that leg shorter than the other”. I looked at him surprised. He says “just a question” and walks off.. He reamed my joint space to far forward and to far inside in addition to making my leg shorter. He did a bad job on my hip replacement surgery. I was on the Oregon Health plan at the time. I guess I was not worth much to him! I don’t recommend him.
Way beyond my expectations! The results of my surgery are fantastic!

Dr. Ballard is very engaged in the 'whole' picture. He listens well and clearly explains the process. He is extremely supportive throughout from injury to surgery and recovery.
