Since both have experienced backgrounds in the culinary industry, they decided to buy it and give Jake's a bit of an update. amazing food and people there..breakfast is great..

Our hostess was rude and our food was cold and burnt. The waitress was great, but that's the only nice thing I can say about this place.
Some exceptional breakfast fare yesterday and well worth a 45-minute wait: and we typically don't wait more than 10 minutes for any restaurant. We didn't get too adventurous: my better half had the Jake's Breakfast Sandwich and I had a chorizo-and-cheddar omelet and perhaps the best biscuit I've ever tasted -- and I've eaten twice at the Hominy Grill in Charleston, S.C. I really wish Northampton were closer to home. Fantastic waitress was on the ball the entire time and lovely in every way you can imagine.

Food was amazing , high quality for great price ! Didn’t even have to salt and pepper any of it! Service was on point and friendly! Homemade hash was 🤤🤤
The food is great! Waitstaff are great! The coffee is good...I give Jake's 5 stars because I have been going there for over 20 years. The newer owner has done it well. The food stepped way way up in my opinion and the ambience has improved. They took it to the next level. So it may not be a 5 star restaurant in the typical sense - but there's no better place in town for coffee and breakfast. They make a great burger too!
Good hot coffee - great friendly waitstaff and food was good. A little pricey but a great spot in a historic building.
They have best breakfast in the town and fast service..🙂🙂🙂
