One of many offshoots of the original Ivar's Acres of Clams, the Salmon House represents the Seattle institution's attempt at contemporary dining. Located in a replica Indian longhouse, the restaurant features salmon and meats alder-smoked on the open-pit Indian-style barbecue. The chef does best with straightforward seafood preparations. Whenever I come to Seattle Ivars is first on my list. First visited back in the sixties. Great meal last night.
Arrived by boat with 2 more than our reservation and a request to combine two reservations for a total of 11 people and they handled it with no delay or problem and delivered excellent food and service!!
