My amazing, vivacious father-in-law suffered a massive stroke on Thursday, Dec. 29. He fought hard but finally gave up the fight on Thursday, Jan. 5. The care he received from the hospital staff was second to none. But he was not the only recipient of the love and kindness offered by the staff. They were just as supportive of our family as they were of their patient. Sat in the ER with my daughter having severe kidney & stomach pains with high fever and chills for 6.5 hrs! Feeling completely helpless to her as she cried..
I took my mom into the emergency room where we had to wait for 4 1/2 hours to even go back to any exam room once we were in an exam room we waited two hours before anybody even came back to see her she has a compression fracture her and I slipped vertebrae of some kind I'm not real sure about that, she was in an extreme amont of pain and no one had even touched her for about seven hours, I was extremely disappointed and aggravated with the way she was treated in the emergency room
I had to go in yesterday due to a very bad fall I took on the ice in the parking lot at my job the day before. My appt with one of the doctors who works in the same office as my PC. He was an excellent doctor. My appt was at 3:50 PM, I got there at 3:40. I didn't have to wait very long. My doctor had a great bedside manner, was very knowledgeable and sent me for x-rays just to be sure because he didn't want to miss anything. My daughter had surgery there yesterday and things could not have gone anymore smoother. Great care and attention. Even the nurse who called 2 days before for her medical history popped into her recovery room to say hi! 💞💞💞💞Thanks!

this hospital is so NICE and everyone is so helpful and they treat you like family, never busy and always a 5 star experience
I have been to this hospital on more then one occasion. For myself, my children and my father and I have always had a really bad experience. I live close to IUWest but from here on out I will take my chance driving farther to get better care. I was in the waiting room for 4.5 hours before I was seen by a doctor. Then they took blood when I got in the room and started and IV. Well to find out they never tested that blood and had to draw more blood to test hours later.
