Took my daughter to the ER. She was curled over on pain and in tears. The school nurse had me pick her up and was afraid she might have a cyst on her ovaries. We waited in the waiting room for 3 hours. The doctor just wanted us gone and said she had stomach virus. Nurses were nice but no scans or anything. Took my great-aunt who is 93 to Eskenazi because she wasn't acting like herself. She had slurred speech, could not walk, and wasn't sure if she had a stroke or another UTI. When we got there the staff was rude and told us to wait in the waiting room. Concerned for her safety and not sure if she had a stroke we wasn't going to wait any longer to be seen by a doctor we decided to take her to IU Health. The hospital staff was very rude. I had to have a procedure done and it hurt really bad. The guy doing the procedure, Claude, was very rude and when I asked him to stop, due to pain, he was very rude and while he did stop, it was like he was throwing a temper tantrum. Then there was a nurse who yelled at me because I pushed the call button and she was busy with another patient. I didn't appreciate that. The only good part of the hospital was the food. Everyone was really nice. And I did not have too wait long....
I came into the ER with an open fracture on my foot. When they checked me in they didnt even ask to see it or assess how bad it was. They just told me to take a seat and they would get to me when a room became available. I was sitting in waiting room for 2 hours bleeding from my foot before i was called back to a room. After I got into a room they quickly took me to xray and cleaned the wound. After that i was left to sit there for another three hours before they stitched the wound. I arrived Sunday January 9th due to severe abdominal pain. The patient registration nurse was delightful and very empathetic! They were very busy she recognized the sense of urgency and had me in a room within 15 minutes. At that time I was immediately taken care of making me as comfortable as possible while making diagnosis respectively. Verdict was a ruptured appendix. I was in surgery within an hour and a half.
