8 days after submitting application, and all required materials (twice), 8 days after being told I was the first and apartment should be ready by sunday. they refuse to fully accept my application but aren't denying it. We lived in one of their Los Angeles area apartments for about 3 and a half years. Management typically changed a few times a year. Most of the time, tenants would not be notified about these changes. If you have a maintenance issue, expect it to not be taken care of for a while. In fact, upon move out we had maintenance requests that had been open for months. The building is old, so there is a bug problem. I applied for an apartment in LA that was listed on their website, I was informed that the tenant is no longer moving out. I was then offered a transfer for another apartment which much smaller—or I could cancel my application. I asked to cancel and was never responded to. It has been 3 weeks of me trying to get in touch with the leasing manager who has been avoiding responding to my emails. I previously lived long-term at an apartment damaged in a fire and after the insurance money for hotels ran out, we were scrambling, and incredibly stressed looking for an apartment that would take a chance on me and my terrible credit rating at the time and most importantly my senior Labrador (since passed) who could barely walk at the time.
