MMM cheese fries – I love Islands! It's good when you feel like a greasy burger and fries! The cheese fries are my guilty pleasure, with a little bit of ranch mmmm. The burgers are consistently good too. I love the tacos as well (especially the fish ones). The service is usually great too and the atmosphere is great, relaxed and fun. I love to watch all the surf and snowboarding videos.
Excellent burgers, delicious fries and onion rings! – When I was growing up, we always went to Island's for special occasions. To this day, I love a good burger--and Island's burgers are my favorite. I usually get the Hula (with sauteed 'shrooms). The burgers are very juicy and tender, the inside of the buns just lightly crisped. The fries and onion rings are just right--just enough oil and not too salty. Service is always good when I go. There can be a wait during peak hours. Desserts are also yummy and rich.
Good burgers, great atmosphere – I don't know what is with this Jerry guy, who in his review, compared these burgers with Jack in the Box?? Obviously he doesn't know a thing about burgers. Why is there a wait to get a table at this establishment? Because people know the food is good, the restaurant is consistantly busy because of it and people will wait for a good meal! Best burgers, excellent customer service – When we first arrived we parked in the free parking garage which is directly behind the restaurant which has a backdoor entrance, which was very convenient. We were promtly sat and noticed how clean the place was kept which is very important when it comes to deciding where to have my meals. You have to be kidding me. – This place is the worst. Everything is extremely overpriced. Menu is very limited. Food value is poor. Service is a joke. Atmosphere is completely fake. If you are into paying twice what food is worth and enjoy plastic Hawiian decor you will be happy here. If you want quality food at a reasonable price in a setting where you can enjoy your meal then look elsewhere because this is not that place.
Not good AT ALL!!!! – If I could have given less than one star, I would have. Nothing about these sandwiches or burgers would even make me want to go back! In fact, when my husbad and I talk about where we want to go to eat, we make it a point to say "we will never go to Islands again!" Their sandwiches and burgers really left that bad of an impression on us!!!!
Great atmosphere, Great food, Great staff. Fast, hot great quality. – Good value compared to others in area like Red Robin/Applebees. Islands doesnt taste microwaved! yum!
My usual – When my bf & I go out for a burger 8/10 times its Islands. Although I can't say they're cheap, the food is consistently good, the service is good, and the ambiance is good. The feel is "island-y" with surfing on the TV's (or occasionally X-treme sports), the tables and all the decorations resemble surfboards & huts.
