PART 1 : "My Island Doctors" NIGHTMARE ! About 5 years ago I lost my Primary Team in the Baptist System. Humana provided me a list of other Primary Docs in my area. Unfortunately, I went with Island Doctors (10 Mile Rd. Pensacola Location). Everything seemed to be fine with my new primary Docs. But I did wonder why as a former "Open Heart" Patient I was not referred to a Cardiologist once a year. This is usually required for these Patients. PART 2 : Going back about 12 years ago I was referred to the Andrews Institute (pain management) to help me with back pain from a horseback accident from the early 90's. Physical Therapy was prescribed and also a High Powered NSAID (trade name: Ibuprofen). Within 48 hours I had leg swelling, hives, dizziness, and worst of all hemorrhaging (passing large amounts of blood) ! I stop taking the medication and was back to normal in a few days.
