I was approached by this company from a person at my door. Every time they have come through our neighborhood before, I declined to show them my energy bill. This guy was super persistent to see it so I decided: "why not? It'll make them stop coming in the future if I just talk to him." He looked at my bill and pointed to a few charges and said they were "dirty". And that the company could "take care of those for me". I encountered a Inspire sales person at my local grocery store on 1/31/2019. The guy asked me "Would you like to let them (my electric company) know you are interested in clean energy?" Of course I would want to encourage them to use clean energy my impression by this question was he was collecting survey information to present to them. My company had an A+ rating in NW Illinois for many, many years and it was complaint free also. So I take rating companies with the BBB very seriously. I also take integrity in a company very seriously. Apparently Inspire hasn't heard of that word and if they did, they certainly do not practice it. I don't care if you have an A rating from the BBB and your complaints are all resolved in a timely manner, if you lie to me, I WILL NOT do business with your company. Signed up over the summer while visiting the city. They had a stand and were giving away free beer for those that signed up. I was in a good mood and they said its just a bit more but so much better for the environment. So I agreed. Big mistake. I was not directly informed that the rate they quoted as being a bit more was only temporary. I ended up seeing my rate go from 7.9 cents per kw/h to 9.9 to 10.9 to 14+. I choice inspire as energy supplier because of the lower rate they boasted. I was shocked when their promotion period was over to be overcharged $46.25 for November 2018 and $71.92 for December 2018. A total of 118.17 above what my bills for the 2 months would be with PSEG or other honest supplier. Your rating for this company should be negative. They are mischievous and customers should be protected from such vultures.

I am canceling gladly paying the early fee for her which she initially was told she didn't have contract or early term fees. She was told how amazing her bills would be she wasn't expecting amazingly high! Shame on you for taking advantage of elderly people who are on a fixed income. I hope your company plummets you are horrible scamming people.

I hope all of you feel the same way as time goes on. The representative I had was awesome. So kind, professional and patient....and he lied to me. He assured me my bills would not spike in the summer, (cause his mom was a single mom too so he knew how important my concern was), and they spiked alright. I was also told after one year I would get back 3% of my "spendings" with the company, yet now I'm told it's 1%, despite the Agreement I signed stating 3%.
