220 for an eye exam should be illegal
I've been to Insight optometry several times now for exams and glasses, and I've found them knowledgeable and helpful! I have strabismus, and they were able to make a very high prism work for me before my surgery (24 diopters of prism total, which is a lot). The orthoptics people at the QE2 actually commented on the glasses when I saw them, and were impressed. That was a few years ago now, but I continue to have good experiences when I see them. They should hire someone who has the courtesy to speak politely with patients. Otherwise, the person they currently have, possibly named Carla, will eventually drive the office out of business. If dealing with clients is too frustrating, she should consider a different job where she doesn’t have to interact with people. When I called, she was unable to provide me with options, was rude and impatient, and refused to listen to my preferences. Instead, she insisted on her own choices when booking appointments.
