like being back in milan... – we ate at il posto for the first time last night...and what an experience. we showed up at about 730 and although we had a wait, we sat on the patio and enjoyed a charcuterie and cheese plate with a great glass of wine (as they were not doing full service on the patio quite yet). perfect starting point for the rest of our meal. we were seated surprisingly fast considering there were tons of people waiting for tables. our waiter, Bob, was very helpful with guiding us through the menu (which is wr... read more

Overrated and too much attitude – When we called to make a booking to celebrate a special occasion we were told that Il Posto does not take reservations but just to come early. When we came to the restaurant, only to be lectured by a 12 year hostess that they do take bookings but prefer not to and questioned who told me they don't take bookings - as if you take names when you call a restaurant. Anyway, once inside, the waiter - an older guy named "C" served us. He had to be the only person in Denver without a sense of humor ... read more

Charming delight – A sunny evening was the perfect time to experience Il Posto. We arrived early, around 5:30 and had the pleasure to ease into the experience. The hostess seated us at the table by the window even though we didn't have a reservation. The menu on the wall was not a problem, in fact the menu was re-written with daily updates as we arrived. The server offered a free sample glass of Prosceco, which certainly set the mood. The Tagliere was unlike any other antipasti, especially if you love good meat and great che... read more

A Hidden Italian Gem! – This is a great little restaurant tucked away in an east Denver neighborhood. The atmosphere is very lively and has an urban feel to it. Some of the reviewers here couldn't get past the fact that they had to read the mostly Italian menu off of the wall, but I would consider this to be a very minor inconvenience. Our waiter was willing to explain anything and everything to us whenever we asked. The menu items were also a nice departure from the typical sterile American/Italian restaurant. The food was ... read more

yummy neighborhood hangout – This is a mod quirky little restaurant with wonderful food! The menu is a bit of a challenge to read and requires standing to read it depending on where you are sitting. The booth along the side wall is somewhat difficult to get in and out of if your thinking of bringing grandmother. The food is very good for the price, though, and the chef provides a unique twist to his italian flavors! My Italian boyfriend is quite the critique and approves as well! It's a young hip location and I can't wait fo... read more

An unfortunate use of real-estate – Bring your binoculars and leave your expectations at home if misfortune brings you to this wretched place. The daily menu is written illegibly on Fisher-Price blackboards at either side of the room in small chicken scratch and apparently illuminated by former grips who specialized in maximizing glare. While the staff is agreeable to going over the menu for you, a total lack of any soft surfaces ensures that the background chatter and music inhibit you from hearing the menu any better than ... read more

Italian for 'Big Disappointment' – Room is cool, upscale decor with quaint tables and lighting. Kitchen is open in the back. Greeted at the door by the nice manager, who led us to a corner table by the windows. The two-top table has four legs on the corners , my wife was seated on a bench. The table had to be moved out for her to get in, then moved back around her, trapping her. After her first trip to the ladies room, we saw through this minor inconvenience. They change the menu daily or so - cool. But,?menus? are 2 chalkbo... read more
