A real Italian chef brings deliciousness to Denver! – Like many people, I was raised to think "Italian" food meant pizza, lasagna and spaghetti with tomato sauce. Denver's Best! – Simply wow! Il Posto was by far the best cuisine - especially Italian cuisine I've ever had in Denver. I definitely compared to any food I've had in Paris, Rome or New York City. The quaint little place reminded me of a trendy Soho restaurant and the fare was simply amazing. Very disappointing. – I read great reviews about Il Posto and decided to give it a try and was very disappointed. Our waiter was great but the food was below average. The sauce on our pasta tasted like it came out of a jar and had no flavor. The chicken we ordered was supposed to be stuffed and was not and it was also supposed to have pancetta with it but it was nowhere to be seen. The other entrees we ordered were bland and not worth what they charged. I will never go back and do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
A Very Uncomfortable Meal – To be fair, the food and service were good. However, the setup and seating in the restaurant is terrible. We were seated about three inches away from our neighbors on one side and three inches from bar stools on the other (very uncomfortable). Mangia!! – Anyone that doesnt like the food that Andrea prepares fresh on a nightly basis, doesnt know and appreciate authentic Italian. I am an Italian American and have eaten at many good Italian restaurants in NY, Chicago and the mother land. Andrea's menu each night makes it difficult to choose, so my wife and I order something different and then we share.. Great wine list as well and affordably priced.
Easily my favorite restaurant in Denver! – Il Posto has never let me down. Maybe it's the fact that you can sit down after 10pm and still enjoy a full meal without feeling rushed. Maybe it's the food which arguably beats any other restaurant in Denver if you compare plates head-to-head. Each time there is more than one reason to return. It's the one spot in the city that I recommend with hesitation.
Incredible food, great wine service, friendly staff, *terrible* waiter!! – I've been to Il Posto on a number of occasions and have been consistently wowed by the food, and up until yesterday, the service. Despite the loud room, I look forward to visiting knowing that my taste buds will be treated like royalty. Great Food & Wine – I have been to Il Posto several times and have always found the food extremely good and made even better by the wine pairings and attentive staff. The menu is dynamic and creative. The only challenge sometimes is with seating, as it's a very small restaurant (which can be a positive overall). awsome – I heard about it, and you know when you hear about and the hype is so high you wonder. Let me tell you about the food ? razor clams!!! Insane, risotto with strawberry and straccino, I think that?s the name, never taste it before ? mind blowing and the service was really attentive and this wait staff know the menu? in and out. A great experience and this one star people, are you sure you went to the right place!
