I've had the most terrible experience getting items delivered from this ikea store. I'm so disappointed with how bad the service is. BEWARE OF ORDERING ONLINE! You will waste hours of time and get no support from Ikea or North American logistic (the delivery company). Two words - Hunger Games. The odds were not in my favor.
I am supposed to get the furniture delivered and installed today. No email from them or the delivery company so far. Tried calling the customer service number of Ikea and North American logistics and have been on hold for over 90 mins with no success of speaking to either one. Emailed both of them but no response there as well..Disappointed at the lack of effort in just the post purchase experience especially when someone is moving into a brand new home and ordered pretty much everything from them. Horrible customer service - I have emailed, called more times than I can count (to a number that goes no where), FB messaged AND posted on a wall. NO response from the company. Today, I will go down to the store and try to get the missing pieces from my almost $2,000 order(s). I have spent more money at this store than I care to admit, but I strongly feel that after this issue gets resolved (assuming it will), I will not be shopping here again - for business or for home.
ANGRY. Purchased chairs and then when we went to get them after they were "picked" we waited for an hour before they told us that they didn't have them at that store and they would deliver them the next day - we left our address. We didn't hear a word for three days. Thus began my hours of phone calls. Finally resulted in a case number and I am STILL waiting for a refund of about $500. We keep calling waiting an hour and then getting transferred and then on hold for so long that we have to get off to get back to work. HORRIB... read more
Has anyone tried to make a purchase from IKEA & have it delivered. Piece of advice - Don't do it!! After over 3 hours on the phone on different occasions, two visits to the store, two promised deliveries that did not happen, two customer service "cases" that were created and ignored, I have to wait on hold for 47 minutes to get a refund for an undelivered purchase made weeks ago.
