The customer service has indeed taken a downward spiral. Tons of customers, far too much merchandise displayed and not enough inventory, and cashiers that forget the simplest of pleasantries: Hello, thank you , have a nice day. Instead they glare at you and dismiss you when your transaction is completed by handing you your receipt.
I am so disgusted with this IKEA location. After three terrible recent experiences there I feel the need to vent on this page. May you be warned, friends!
You could have a customer service line that works and not have delivered my furniture to the wrong place!
I went to IKEA Emeryville to buy number of furniture at the same time. I ordered delivery and assembly as well. On the day of delivery, my time slot was supposed to be in between 10AM to 2PM but the delivery/assembly crew did not arrive until 4PM. I made a call to IKEA customer center around 1:50PM and it took me 2 hours to be connected to the customer representative.
